The 2023 Fr. Seán Manning Galway Primary School Science Quiz will take place on Friday 17th November. This is a table quiz consisting of teams of four 5th and/or 6th class pupils, who compete for some great prizes sponsored by Medtronic Galway. The quiz was initiated to honour the memory of Canon Seán Manning who was an esteemed science teacher at St. Mary’s College in Galway before his untimely passing. We draw its questions from everyday science and from the recommended primary school science curriculum.
The quiz will take place during Science Week from 1:30 to 3:00 pm on Friday 17th November, in the main hall of Coláiste Muire Máthair (formerly St. Mary’s College) Galway. Entry is free and an official entry form will be sent to all primary schools or by contacting [email protected]
