Help inspire the creative genius in everyone
The Festival was founded in 1998, with an aim to inspire, educate and enthuse people to understand the world around them and nurture an interest in STEM careers, discoveries, applications and technologies.
Partnering with the Galway Science & Technology Festival, Ireland’s Premier Festival for the promotion of STEM, is an impactful way to increase your profile locally and to help us deliver an extraordinary STEM experience for all in Galway city and county.
The Festival aims to provide most events free to attend and we depend upon the generous support of our partners to help make this happen.
The Festival brings STEM-related workshops, shows and presentations to over 30,000 school students over a 2 week period each November and culminates with a fantastic final day Exhibition hosted on the NUI Galway campus that attracts c.22,000 people to engage in fun-filled STEM events, as depicted in the video highlights from the 2018 event.
The Festival is supported by a wide range of corporate partners, educational bodies, government agencies and research institutes.
