Colourful Science @ GMIT

“GMIT have taken a colourful approach to this year’s Science Festival. Primary school students will explore water density through creating their own liquid density rainbow and surface tension by using milk to create a funky colour palette. The students will also learn about plastic pollution as they view a range of colourful plastics found in seabirds which were found beached in Ireland and had eaten plastics at sea, mistaking it as food.

Three videos and two experimental kits are included in the GMIT Colourful Science programme which has been put together by Dr. Karen Finn, Dr. Heidi Acampora and Dr. Katie O’Dwyer in the School of Science and Computing at GMIT”

The great news is there is one for every primary school in Galway city and county!!
