Galway STEAM Learning Community

Galway STEAM Learning Community is a collaborative network promoting creativity, curiosity and lifelong learning for all.
Our second gathering will launch our new website and online platform for sharing and connecting. It will also feature lightning talks on the theme of “Science, Art and Society: Learnings from Partnerships”, in which featured community members
  • Loretta Needham (Croí na Gaillimhe)
  • artist Joanna McGlynn
  • Liz Coleman, University of Galway
  • Prof Jim Livesey, Vice-President for Research & Innovation, University of Galway

The speakers will share experiences of diverse partnerships in terms of aims, delivery, successes, room for improvement, and what the future holds. The event will conclude with refreshments and an opportunity for discussion and networking with like-minded STEAM learning and engagement enthusiasts.

This event is aimed at anyone involved with public engagement, communication and education of science, technology, engineering, mathematics & the arts in the greater Galway area. This may include those working in all stages of formal or non-formal education, science communication and public engagement, community and voluntary organisations, arts and culture, research and academia, business and industry, or local government.
Come along and explore opportunities with others who are passionate about designing and delivering creative and meaningful learning experiences for all.
