Galway: Mass Tree Planting to Help in the war against Climate Change

As part of the 2019 Galway Science and Technology Festival, we received 3,000 trees – 2,000 trees from Coillte Ireland and we received 1,000 trees sponsored by Aerogen.

Schools participated by collecting trees from Dangan Nurseries in November and planted them on school grounds or in the local community.

Galway City Council allocated space in Terryland Forest Park and on Sunday, 17th November over 300 people took part and came along and helped us plant 2,000 native Irish trees all in the name of Climate Action.

Many of the trees that were planted on the day will hopefully be still there in hundreds of years, still sustaining life on the planet
