2021 Galway Science & Technology Virtual Festival

We are delighted to bring you the 2021 Galway Science & Technology Virtual Festival Show!

The Programme of Events for the 2021 GSTF will be launched in early October.  This year’s programme will include exciting STEM based  workshops for all primary schools and secondary schools.  There will be a big focus on the Outdoor Classroom with many fun activities taking place in our local parks and beaches for students to attend and learn about the world around us.

The Galway Science & Technology Festival Career Talk series will continue with local companies speaking to secondary school students about careers in science, technology, engineering and maths and encouraging students to consider these fields as their chosen course for third level education and their future career.

More details regarding our 2021 programme will be available shortly…………stay tuned!

In case you missed the 2020 Galway Science and Technology Virtual Festival Show, it is currently available to watch on our Youtube channel and it includes all the favourite presenters inspiring young people to love science and technology.  The show was broadcast live on the 22nd November, 2020 and hosted by Clara Murray and John Sharpson of RTE Jnr After School Hub with a very special message from our President, Michael D Higgins.

A whole family experience with lots of fun and exciting activities including Scientific Sue’s awesome ‘Bouncing Bubbles’  magic show, get up close and personal with tarantulas and pythons with the Bug Doctor AKA Dr Michel Dugon of NUI Galway, as he tells us all about his favourite bugs and spiders plus James Soper will teach us about the ‘Science of the Circus’ and you can learn how to juggle while he explains the forces of gravity.

The show was produced by MAVRIX
