In Galway, water is all around us — rivers, rain, lakes, bays and the wild Atlantic Ocean. For the 2026 Galway Science & Technology Festival, our theme, Water: From Molecule to Ocean, will explore how water shapes our bodies, landscapes, climate, communities and future. Through exciting experiments, exhibitions, talks, workshops and hands-on activities, we will journey from the tiniest H₂O molecule to the vast ocean systems that sustain life on Earth. Families, schools, researchers, businesses and curious minds of every age are warmly invited to dive in, ask questions, make discoveries and celebrate science together across Galway this November with us.
